Prior to Acuity, Mr. Tighe has held multiple Executive HR positions reporting to the CEO, including VP of HR & Employee Communications for Jostens, (Minneapolis, MN.) and as Sr. VP of HR & Communications at Fortis Healthcare, (Milwaukee, WI.).
Mr. Tighe has held other HR leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, Cray Research, Weyerhaeuser Paper Company and Sperry.
He has established himself as a strategic business partner who has developed HR Strategies and implemented initiatives to ensure that the companies goals were met.
Mr. Tighe’s experience includes leading organizational change in multiple industries, designing and implementing executive and sales compensation programs.
He has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions with the largest being the purchase of John Alden Insurance Company, (650 million) by Fortis.
He has designed & implemented succession planning and leadership programs as well as fostered senior level mentoring and development.
Before joining Acuity Capital Partners, Mr. Tighe was the Managing Principal at Organizational Concepts International, (OCI) and was responsible for the P&L of Strategic Talent Partners, (STP).
OCI is a full service Human Resource organization made up of three companies specializing in Executive Compensation, Work Force Analytics, Executive Search, Assessment, Organizational Development and Training.
Mr. Tighe received his Masters in Organizational Development from Whitworth College and a B.S.
in Education from the University of Minnesota.
He is a member of the Human Resource Executive Council of Minnesota and a former Advisory Board Member of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
