Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Mr. Yang worked at Pegasus Capital Advisors, a private equity firm that focuses on special situations.
Previously, he worked for Libra Securities, a merchant banking boutique that specialized in mezzanine investments.
He also worked for several years at Union Bank of Switzerland in Zurich and New York, where he served in the leveraged finance, global derivatives and corporate banking groups.
His writing on finance, technology and emerging markets has appeared in several publications.
Mr. Yang received an M.A. from Cornell University and a B.A. from the University of South Carolina.
