As Senior Investment Officer of Domestic Equities for the State Board of Administration, Mrs. Schueren is responsible for all administrative and investment issues pertaining to the Domestic Equity asset class.
At roughly $50 billion, the Domestic Equities asset class comprises roughly 54% of the Florida Retirement System Trust Fund.
Specific responsibilities include asset class risk management, funding and defunding initiatives and manager oversight of U.S.
public market equity investments.
Mrs. Schueren manages a staff of fourteen professionals including quantitative portfolio managers, fundamental portfolio managers, traders and analysts.
Since coming to the SBA in 1986 and prior to her current position, Mrs. Schueren has held the positions of Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Senior Portfolio Manager, Senior Investment Officer of International Equities and Co-Chair of the Defined Contribution Investment Services Implementation Group.
Past responsibilities at the SBA include portfolio management of quantitative small cap and index tilt U.S.
equity portfolios, development and management of a style-based domestic equity custom benchmarking and fund analytics system, development and management of the International Equity asset class, oversight of Private Equity investments and design and implementation of investment options for the Defined Contribution Plan.
Mrs. Schueren received her M.B.A. Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University.
She and her husband, Larry, live in Tallahassee with their daughter Audrey and their son Vince.
Mrs. Schueren serves as Volunteer Coordinator for the Leon High School Friends of Music program.
