M. Steven J. Goulart est chef des placements et vice-président directeur chez MetLife, Inc. et MetLife Investment Management LLC, ainsi que chez Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Il siège au conseil d'administration de la MetLife Foundation et du Tri-County Scholarship Fund. Nommé CIO en mai 2011, il supervise les 605,6 milliards de dollars d'actifs sous gestion de MetLife et plus de 900 professionnels de l'investissement et du soutien dans le monde entier. En 2012, il a dirigé le développement et le lancement de MIM, et en est le président. En août 2017, il a supervisé la séparation et la transition subséquente de la gestion du portefeuille d'investissement de 80 milliards de dollars de Brighthouse Financial, Inc. vers MIM, ainsi que l'acquisition réussie de Logan Circle Partners en septembre 2017. Il a rejoint MetLife en 2006 pour diriger l'unité de fusions et d'acquisitions de la société, et a également été nommé trésorier en 2009. Avant de rejoindre MetLife, il était directeur général senior au sein du groupe des institutions financières de Bear Stearns. Avant de se joindre à Bear Stearns en 2001, il était directeur général du groupe mondial de l'assurance de Morgan Stanley. Avant de rejoindre Morgan Stanley en 1998, il était directeur général dans le groupe des institutions financières chez Merrill Lynch. Il a obtenu son diplôme de premier cycle à l'Université du Pacifique et un MBA à la Harvard Business School.
