Johnson is Senior Vice President & Head of Sales at GE Asset Management, Inc. Prior to joining GE Asset Management in October 2010, Mr. Johnson was Senior Managing Director at Third Avenue Management on May 2009 to September 2010.
He had been with Grail Partners since September of 2007.
He came to Grail from DLB Capita.
Before DLB Capital, he was Executive Vice President and Head of Institutional Distribution with Schroder Investment Management North America.
Earlier, Mr. Johnson was Vice President and Director of North American Business Development for Marathon-London.
He served as President of MarLon Distributors, Inc. Before Marathon, he was Director of North American Business Development for Martin Currie, Inc. While there, he was a Director of Martin Currie Limited, a Board member of Martin Currie Absolute Return Japan Fund, and President of Martin Currie Investor Services.
Mr. Johnson also served as Director of Marketing for Neuberger & Berman and Director of Marketing for INDATA, a service of Gordon, Haskett & Co.
Mr. Johnson has a BA in History from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
He currently serves on the National Selection Committee for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia.
