Prior to Plum Capital, Mr. Elkin developed years of experience in merchandising, marketing, and image management, as well as financial and operations expertise.
Spanning a career of 22 years at Bergdorf Goodman, the last six of which he served as Chairman & CEO, Mr. Elkin held numerous positions including President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Elkin began his retail career in 1970 at Abraham & Strauss, a division of Federated Department Stores, after spending six years in the banking industry.
Mr. Elkin serves as the President of the Educational Foundation of the Fashion Institute of Technology and is the past Chairman of the Fifth Avenue Association and past President of the New York Retail Merchants Association.
He serves of the board of Directors at Commercial Ware, Inc. and Tyringham Holdings, Inc. He is Chairman of the Board & CEO of Intellifit.
