Richard J.
Schmeelk is a Director of Covenant House and Chairman of the Development Committee of the Inner City Scholarship Endowment Fund of the Archdiocese of New York.
He is President of the International Friends of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Honorary US Chairman of Université Laval.
He was appointed as a Founding Partner of CAI in 1989.
Prior to joining Covenant House, Mr. Schmeelk was a General Partner of Salomon Brothers, Inc. and a Member of the Executive Committee and a Director of Salomon, Inc. Previously, he worked at Bell Canada, Canadian Pacific Ltd., Imperial Oil Ltd. and Northern Telecom Ltd. He was Co-Chairman of the Canadian American Committee and Chairman of the National Policy Association and Bio-Research Laboratories Ltd. Mr. Schmeelk received degree from the University of Western Ontario, the Université Laval and Bishop's College.
