Mr. Rich A. Merrifield, II, is Partner & Relationship Manager at Coldstream Capital Management, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Merrifield was previously employed as Equity Portfolio Manager by Appropriate Balance Financial Services, Inc. Prior to joining Appropriate Balance in August 2006, Mr. Merrifield was a consultant to professional investment managers, helping them develop their portfolio management systems.
Before that, he worked with American Express as a Financial Planner, Portfolio Strategist and Training Manager.
He also has experience in Venture Capital, has taught college courses on investing and financial planning, and has contributed thousands of hours in the roles of founder, officer and board member for a half-dozen non-profit organizations in Arizona and Washington.
He lived and worked throughout Latin America from 1983-1986.
He is an avid backpacker, runner and fitness nut.
Since 1997, he has been an active resident in the Capital Hill neighborhood (in downtown Seattle).
Mr. Merrifield is a native of the mid-Atlantic region and holds a BS in Latin American Affairs from Ohio University.
