Profil

Dr. van der Wilt joined STV in January 2008.
Prior to joining STV, he worked as an Associate Research Scientist with Prof.
James Im in the Materials Science and Engineering Program at Columbia University.
He was also appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor teaching a course on Large-Area Electronics.
His research involved low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) thin-film technology and, in particular, laser crystallization of thin silicon films for large-area electronic applications such as LCDs and thin-film solar cells.
In this capacity, he has contributed to the further development and understanding of the sequential lateral solidification (SLS) method that was originally developed in Prof.
Im’s lab.
While in Prof.
Im’s lab he worked closely with STV to help develop both an intellectual property and commercial strategy for the SLS portfolio with major flat panel display manufacturers, such as Samsung, Sharp and LG Philips.
Dr. van der Wilt received his MSC & PhD in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
