Johnson is a Founding Partner & Investment Manager at Nicusa Capital Partners LP.
He founded Nicusa Capital Partners, a fundamentally-driven long-short hedge fund, in January 2003.
He launched Nicusa Investment Advisors in late 2012 to leverage his experience as an investor in small and micro-cap companies and as a sell-side analyst to advise senior management and Boards of Directors on strategy, corporate governance, activism defense and creating shareholder value.
He has 35 years of experience as an investment professional.
Prior to founding Nicusa, Mr. Johnson was a Managing Director in the Equity Research Department of Robertson Stephens.
As a sell-side research analyst, he analyzed all sectors of the technology industry and participated in more than 100 venture capital investments and investment banking transactions in his career.
Mr. Johnson has an MBA in Finance from the Executive Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
