At Good Growth, Maureen does most sourcing for the startups coming out of MIT and the wider Boston and New England community.
She is an active member of MIT's Angel community, sourcing deals from the groups in Boston, New York, and California.
Maureen leads GGC's due diligence for GreenTech startups and assists Amy with due diligence on HealthTech deals.
She also serves on the Board for GGC portfolio company Aralez Bio, Blue Ocean Gear, Eden GeoTech and Radical Plastics, and she is an observer on GGC portfolio companies Liminal, Leuko and Encora Therapeutics.
Maureen has 25+ years of strategy and operations experience with tech startups and worldwide tech strategy practices.
Before GGC, Maureen was the co-founder & COO of Ignition Ventures, which co-founded and invested in multiple tech startups.
At Ignition, the team would find transformative technologies, work with the CTO and team to build the strategy, find critical customer targets, raise money and / or find an acquisition target.
Maureen started her career in strategy consulting at Bain & Company, where she was a consultant and team leader in both the Boston and Sydney, Australia offices.
She then became an Associate Partner at IBM's Strategy practice.
She served as IBM Head of Global Strategy Thought Leadership for four industries.
She has more than seven years of international work experience in Asia, including Hong Kong and Australia.
Maureen has been a Lecturer at MIT, leading numerous classes in Engineering and Management, and has been a Mentor for MIT’s Sandbox Innovation accelerator since launching in January 2016.
She has also been a part-time Consultant to Sandbox to help with its growth strategy, as it grew from 40 startups a year to 400+ startups each semester.
Before her graduate degree, Maureen worked as a Civil Engineer for the US Peace Corps in Fiji, designing and helping to build small water systems.
