Mathieu is a partner in the Investments team and is responsible for screening, sourcing, structuring, and closing investments.
Mathieu was part of the founding team of Zetland and prior to joining, had 13 years of experience with a grounding in credit.
He started his career as an analyst in the leveraged finance division of Deutsche Bank and subsequently joined ICG as an associate in its French mezzanine team.
He then pivoted to corporate distressed investing at Sun Capital Partners, a US private equity fund focussing on mid-market turnarounds.
He continued this focus at Platina Partner, a single-family office with a focus on complex corporate situations.
Mathieu then spent 6 years as a Principal at Perseus Capital Partners, a private investment vehicle focusing on direct value investments in asset-backed corporates, where he focused on the European hospitality industry.
He received a M.Sc.
in Finance from ESCP Europe (École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris).
