Dr. Fromherz is a Vice President and the Director of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory at PARC, Inc. (Palo Alto Research Center, formerly Xerox PARC).
Prior to his current role, he has been a Principal Engineer at PARC.
He has led and contributed to several research, development, and technology transfer efforts in intelligent control systems for Xerox products, including the award-winning flagship iGen3 digital production printing system.
His background is in the domain of intelligent embedded software, including constraint-based modeling, model-based planning, scheduling, and control, and model-based design analysis and optimization.
Dr. Fromherz joined PARC in 1992.
Dr. Fromherz received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and his MS in Computer Science from ETH Zurich.
