Mr. Mark Wang, CFA MBA, is Chief Investment Officer at AIA Bhd.
He was appointed by ING Asia Pacific as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of ING Insurance Malaysia in January 2008.
Mr. Wang has more than 16 years in the investment industry.
He has had vast experiences working with insurance companies in the United States and Asia focusing on investment management.
Mr. Wang was the Head of HK and China portfolios at ING in Hong Kong where he led the formulation of the asset allocation process and also participated in the Dutch firm’s expansion in Greater China Region.
Prior to his 7 years professional stint in Hong Kong, Mr. Wang had held various investment and finance positions in Aetna where he was based in Hartford, Connecticut in the United States.
As CIO, his primary responsibilities include developing asset allocation strategies, implementing investment policies and processes as well as ensuring a robust risk management process.
In December 2012, Mr Wang was appointed as CIO by AIA Bhd.
Mr. Wang holds MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He is also a CFA Charterholder
