Mr. Mark H.
Azzopardi is a Global Head of Insurance at BlackRock Advisors (UK) Ltd. His primary responsibility is to ensure that BlackRock's investment, advisory, risk management and product offerings for insurance companies reflect the environment in which they operate.
Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Azzopardi was the senior portfolio manager at AllianceBernstein responsible for new product development and strategic advice to insurance and pension scheme clients.
From 2000 to 2008 Mr. Azzopardi was head of Insurance & Pensions at BNP Paribas.
Prior to that he managed actuarial teams at Zurich Financial Services' Head Office and at the Hiscox Group in London.
Mr Azzopardi began his career at Clay & Partners, (now Aon Consulting) in 1988.
He earned an MA degree in mathematics from Cambridge University in 1988 and became a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1991.
