Prior to joining CapitalWorks, Ms. Speer was an auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP for eight years.
She has extensive industry experience auditing banking institutions with a focus on investment, derivative and securitization accounting/operations, tax accounting, and trust operations.
She also has had significant involvement in the review of credit administration operations, as well as loan review functions at various banking institutions.
While at Ernst & Young, LLP she audited over 75 different investment funds, including, common and collective trust funds, hedge funds, private equity funds and funds of funds.
Additionally, she has industry experience in healthcare, mortgage origination, and insurance industries.
Ms. Speer has received specialized training in negotiation, fraud detection, and personnel management.
Ms. Speer graduated magna cum laude from Albion College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management.
She has an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
