From 1977 to 1989, he worked in various credit departments of Deutsche Bank in northern Germany, last of all in Flensburg, where he headed up the department.
In 1989, he transferred to the Group’s headquarters in Frankfurt, where he was initially responsible for business with banks and financial companies from the USA and South Africa.
Following a two-year secondment to New York to manage accounts with American financial institutions, he transferred back to Frankfurt in 1992, where he assumed responsibility for product development and marketing for transactions business with financial institutions.
In 1997, he was appointed director and managed global management accounting for various divisions of the company.
From 2001 to 2005, he took over as head of divisional management accounting for the Global Credit Products and Global Transaction Banking divisions based in New York and subsequently in Frankfurt.
In 2005, he was appointed Global Chief Financial Officer for the Private Wealth Management division in Frankfurt.
As of 2007, he also assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Bank (Schweiz) AG in Zurich and joined the management board.
In March 2010, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer to the Executive Board of Sal.

Mr. Dobritzsch graduated as a bank clerk (with honours), he continued his professional banking training at the Hamburg Bank Academy.
