Spectrum Advisory Services, Inc.
Spectrum Advisory Services, Inc. Investment ManagersFinance SAS buys after developing a thorough understanding of the downside risk, when they believe that the risk of further price deterioration is minimal, and when strong potential exists for significant appreciation over a two-to-three year period. The firm sells when they believe the price fully reflects the value of the company, and during given market (and other conditions), capital risk exceeds the potential reward of additional appreciation. Prior to making an investment, they develop a thorough understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the companies they follow as well as Wall Street expectations. They place little weight on a company's short-term earnings outlook and performance. Generally, they look for companies that will benefit from unrecognized strengths in areas such as operations, market niche, deployment of capital, proprietary products and technology. However, occasionally they take advantage of bargain prices afforded by the marketplace. To reinforce their analysis of each company, they look for confirmation that management understands its business, knows what it is trying to accomplish, and has the resources to successfully compete under a variety of business conditions. SAS's investment ideas are developed through an intensive review of written materials, corporate and analytical conferences and electronic media. They also employ continuous testing of investment hypotheses both by in-house resources and with other industry knowledgeable professionals. They stress avoidance of loss not only as a means of reducing risk, but also as a means of increasing returns. Diversification is also utilized as a means of controlling risk. | Gestionnaire de Portefeuille-Actions | - |
