In her role as Director, Legal for OMERS Ventures and OMERS Growth Equity, Jillian is involved throughout the life cycle of investments and their long-term management, including all legal aspects of the investment pursuit process and providing legal and regulatory support to the asset management teams post-acquisition.
She has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, corporate governance, fund structuring and fund investments.
Jillian joined OMERS in December 2013.
Prior to joining OMERS Ventures and OMERS Growth Equity on a full-time basis, Jillian was Vice President, Legal at OMERS Administration Corporation, where she provided enterprise-wide legal support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
In this role Jillian worked closely with senior management of OMERS and OMERS investment entities, including OMERS Ventures, OMERS Growth Equity, OMERS Investment Management and OMERS Finance Trust, in the execution of their respective mandates.
Jillian received her Hons.
B.A. and M.A. from the University of Toronto, and her LL.B from the University of Windsor.
Jillian previously practiced corporate and securities law at Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto.
