Mr. Ji Zhang is a Senior Research Analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Co. LP.
He is responsible for conducting fundamental research and analysis of equities in the information technology and communication services sectors in global emerging markets.
He joined the firm in June 2019 and began his investment industry career in July 2006.
Previously, Mr. Zhang was an Associate Director & Senior Analyst at Kylin Management in New York, a Tiger Cub hedge fund focused on investing in Asia.
In this role, he conducted bottom-up, fundamental research and analysis of equities in the technology, media and telecom sectors in Asia.
Prior to this, he was a technology sector Analyst at New York based hedge funds Brahman Capital and Simcoe Capital.
He has also worked as a Strategy Consultant for Bain & Company where he worked on cases in the technology and private equity industries.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Zhang worked as a Derivatives Strategist for the prop desk at Barclays Capital and as an integrated circuit design engineer at Linear Technology in Silicon Valley.
He earned a BS and MEng in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in management and finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
