Mr. Broekaert started his career with the Tate & Lyle Group in May 1995 when he joined Amylum Belgium as Human Resources Manager.
In January 1996, he became Director of Human Resources, Amylum Group and was subsequently appointed Vice President Human Resources, becoming a member of the Amylum Group Executive Committee in August 2000.
As Vice President Human Resources, he served as Vice Chairman of the European Works Council and was a member of the Social Strategic Committee for the Belgian Food Sector Employee Association.
On March 1, 2001, he assumed HR responsibilities as a member of Tate & Lyle Plc Executive Committee.
