He has extensive experience in negotiated private debt, equity and hybrid investments.
He joined an affiliate of Soros Fund Management in 2002 to make private mezzanine investments, and stayed with the credit team through its spinout from the Soros organization at the formation of Dune in 2004.
Mr. Kelliher began his career in 1977 as a tax attorney for General Motors Acceptance Corporation, the financing arm of General Motors.
After earning a CPA at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) and five years with CIGNA, Mr. Kelliher returned to General Motors in 1987 to manage direct and partnership investments in buyouts, restructurings and other corporate finance transactions.
Mr. Kelliher left GM in 1995 for American Industrial Partners, where he assisted in the formation of its second private equity fund.
He was with GarMark Advisors, an independent mezzanine investment firm, from its inception until 2002.
Mr. Kelliher is a graduate of Boston College and the University of Connecticut School of Law, and a member of the Connecticut Bar.
He is a director of Rock Bottom Restaurants.
