Gail Hoffman is an angel investor and start-up advisor in the New England entrepreneurial ecosystem, sharing her expertise in company formation, diligence, finance, and strategic planning.
Her investments span numerous industries and include early-stage investments in companies such as Lark Health, OR/M (Open Road Media), and DayZero Diagnostics.
She has spent her 20+ year career advising both for-profit and non-profit businesses, and is committed to developing diverse organizations and funders.
Gail is a frequent start-up judge, mentor, and speaker for MassChallenge, Dartmouth College (MBA and undergraduate), Wharton, The Capital Network, The Angel Capital Association, and Harvard Business School, among others.
Actively involved in four area angel groups, Gail is the past Operating Committee Chair for Golden Seeds New England, one of the nation’s most active angel investment firms, providing early-stage and growth capital to female-led businesses across all industry sectors.
She is also a member of Launchpad Venture Group, New England’s largest angel investment group, as well as the Wharton Angel Alumni Network.
Gail is a founding board member of Dartmouth College’s Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship and a founding member of Dartmouth Angels.
Gail began her career in the Corporate Finance Department of Dean Witter Reynolds.
After receiving her M.B.A. in Finance with High Distinction from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Gail joined Boston Ventures Management Inc., a late-stage growth and private equity firm specializing in the communications, media, and entertainment industries.
