Mr. Carter was a member of DigitalThink's board of directors from June, 1999 until April 1, 2002.
From October, 1996, to October, 1999, he was president of Gartner Group Distribution, the sales organization for the Gartner Group, Inc., and served as Gartner Group's chief marketing officer.
From October, 1993, to September, 1996, Mr. Carter was executive vice president, sales and marketing, for the Gartner Group.
At Gartner, he grew revenues from $32 million to $750 million and expanded the sales force from 27 sales representatives to over 900 worldwide product representatives in 30 countries.
Currently, Mr. Carter works with numerous WaldenVC investments in an advisory capacity.
Mr. Carter earned a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University.
