Mr. Garrett is the former Group Chief Executive Officer of Robert Fleming Holdings Ltd., a global investment bank with operations throughout the emerging markets.
Mr. Garrett was responsible for managing the company’s operations in over 44 countries in Asia, Eastern Europe, the Americas and Africa with an asset management business in excess of US$100Bn in invested capital.
Mr. Garrett held several positions in divisions of the company including Fund Manager at Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong and General Manager of its Tokyo office.
Additionally, he held positions at Robert Fleming Investment Management and Robert Fleming Holdings before his appointment as its CEO in April 1997.
Mr. Garrett was also previously employed as a Non-Executive Director by Egyptian Financial Group-Hermes Holding Co. He also served on the board at T.
Rowe Price Group, Inc. and Zephyr Management LP.
Mr. Garrett has a degree in law from Cambridge University and experience in fund management, investment research and securities businesses.
