Mr. David Smith is Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Smith Tan Asset Management Pte Ltd. He has over 20 years of experience in Asian Equities.
Prior to founding Smith Tan, Mr. Smith was a Managing Director and Regional Portfolio Manager at JF Asset Management in Hong Kong for seven years managing both country and regional funds for both retail and segregated clients.
He also worked as an Investment Manager at Paradice Investment Management in Sydney from 2001-2004, after a stint at Merrill Lynch Mercury Investment Managers in London and starting out at Westpac Investment Management in Sydney.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Econometrics & Finance) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney and a Master of International Relations from IBEI in Barcelona.
