Profil
Darren Gowling started at Enterprise Ventures in May 2009 as Investment Director.
Before that he headed up Alliance Fund Managers' £27m Liverpool Seed Fund.
His role included overseeing all the Fund's investments and working closely with Liverpool Ventures.
He is an experienced venture capitalist and has particular expertise working with early stage technology businesses.
He started his private equity career at United Utilities Venture Fund and subsequently joined Wales Innovation Fund where he gained extensive experience in early stage venture capital particularly in the digital, biotechnology and manufacturing sectors.
He also held a number of non executive positions with investee businesses including one as Chairman.
He joined AFM in 2002 and was charged with overseeing the launch and running of the £20m Finance Cornwall equity, mezzanine and loan fund and, in addition to his responsibility for the overall Fund, he was also director of the £9m Venture Fund.
