Edgar is Senior Vice President of Preclinical Research and Development, Chief Science and Technology Officer and Founder of Hypnion, Inc. Prior to founding Hypnion, he was an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Director of the Sleep and Circadian Neurobiology Laboratory at Stanford University for 15 years.
Dr. Edgar is an Officer of the Sleep Research Society (USA) and a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biological Rhythms.
He is a Fellow of the NASA Ames Research Center.
He received his Master's degree in Biology and a PhD in Biology/Physiology from the University of California-Berkeley.
