Mr. Carlos de Sousa is a Strategist & Portfolio Manager at Vontobel Asset Management AG.
He joined Vontobel Asset Management in January 2021.
Before this, Mr. Sousa worked as Lead Emerging Markets Economist at Oxford Economics, a leading global forecasting and quantitative analysis organization.
Before that, he was a research fellow at Bruegel in Brussels, a think tank specializing in economics, where he authored policy-oriented research focusing on European economics.
Earlier in his career, Carlos worked as Economist at Ecoanalitica in Caracas, where he was responsible for macroeconomic forecasts of Venezuela and the several Caribbean and Central American countries.
He holds a Master’s degree in Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a Master’s degree in Economics from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
