Currently, Ali Hussein Khalil is a Chief Executive Officer for Kuwait Financial Centre KPSC, Kuwait Financial Centre KPSC (Research) and Kuwait Financial Centre KPSC (Investment Management).
He has been working with the Markaz Group of Companies in Kuwait and the United States for over 33 years.
Since 2010, he has been the Chief Operating Officer of Markaz, overseeing both the Asset Management and the Investment Banking aspects, with all their underlying activities including Mutual Funds, Portfolio Management, and Real Estate & Private Equity, in addition to the Advisory, Corporate Finance, and Capital Markets functions.
He joined the Markaz group of companies in 1989 as the President of Mar-Gulf Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Markaz located in Los Angeles, California, which manages its real estate investment activities in the USA. Under his tutelage, the real estate investments activity was expanded to include the MENA region, with a special focus on GCC, and later, Europe.
Mr. Khalil previously held the position of President of Gulf Pacific America, Inc.
Mr. Khalil holds an MBA degree from INSEAD, France, as well as M.Sc.
and B.Sc.
degrees in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University, USA.
