Wit Derby

Prior to joining Kingsland, Mr. Derby was a Managing Director/Principal at Bear Stearns where he focused on high-yield fixed income stressed and distressed credit opportunities.
Prior to his nine year tenor at Bear Stearns, Mr. Derby spent ten years focused on credit analysis and portfolio management; first as an Associate at Security Pacific Merchant Bank where he concentrated on credit reviews and structuring leveraged buyouts and later as Vice President and Senior Credit Officer of the New York Branch of The Kyowa Bank (thereafter The Asahi Bank) where he concentrated on restructuring credits in the real estate and commercial loan portfolios.
Mr. Derby began his career as a loan officer covering Fortune 500 companies at ABN Bank upon completing an eighteen month comprehensive credit training program, and subsequently joined Westpac Banking Corporation where he focused on corporate and leveraged finance transactions.
Mr. Derby graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University.
