Mr. Wajahat Husain is President & CEO at United Bank Ltd. He joined UBL in 2005 as Head of Middle East and in 2010 was elevated to the position of Head of International.
He has an illustrious banking career spanning three decades in Pakistan and abroad.
His last assignment was as Senior Executive Vice President, Group Executive responsible for managing the Bank’s International business which comprises branches, representative offices, subsidiaries and associate companies.
He is a director in the Bank’s International Subsidiaries and Associate Company; UBL (Switzerland) AG, United Bank UK, UBL Bank (Tanzania) Ltd and a member of the Committee of Shareholders Representative Oman United Exchange Company LLC.
Mr. Husain has worked in and outside Pakistan in various capacities throughout his career.
He has served in various institutions at Senior Management positions, including Union National Bank and Mashreq Bank in the UAE.
He received his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration.
