Prior to joining the firm in January 2013, he had worked for Crowell Weedon.
Mr. Stefano has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1983 and has been actively managing growth stock portfolios on a discretionary basis since 1992 as President of Fred Alger Asset Management in San Francisco.
Throughout his career as a buy-side equity analyst and portfolio manager, Mr. Stefano has focused on New Innovation companies, predominantly smaller to mid-capitalization in size with a strong bias toward healthcare, technology and retail.
In 1999 as a founding Principal / Portfolio Manager of Viewpoint Investment Partners, he was responsible for managing and growing assets under management in addition to developing numerous risk management tools for the firm’s long/short limited partnerships.
Mr. Stefano received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Canisius College in 1978.
