Mr. Timothy S.
van Kirk, CPA MBA, is Senior Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer at Kramer Van Kirk Credit Strategies LP.
He has over 23 years experience in the leveraged finance markets with particular expertise in credit selection, portfolio management, CLO structuring, documentation and investment management.
Prior to forming KVK in 2011, Mr. van Kirk was Managing Director and Co-Head of Leveraged Loans at Neuberger Berman (2007-2010), the successor firm of Lehman Brothers Asset Management which purchased LightPoint Capital Management in July 2007.
Prior to forming LightPoint in 2002, he was a Group Vice President/Director in ABN AMRO's Leveraged Finance Group.
Prior to joining ABN AMRO, he was a Vice President of Underwriting and Portfolio at GE Capital (1995-1997).
Prior to GE Capital, he spent seven years (1988-1995) in the Leveraged Finance Group at First National Bank of Chicago analyzing, underwriting, documenting and syndicating complex and leveraged transactions.
He started his career with Price Waterhouse, in auditing.
Mr. van Kirk holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, a CPA certificate, and a M.B.A. in Finance and Management from the J.L.
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
