Mr. Timothy Moe, CFA MBA, is a Co-Head of Macro Research and is the Chief Asia Pacific regional equity strategist at Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC.
He is responsible for views on Asia Pacific Ex-Japan regional equity markets and communicating these perspectives to the firm’s institutional investor base.
He joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as a managing director in Global Investment Research in Hong Kong and was named partner in 2006.
Mr. Moe began his career in Hong Kong with Jardine Fleming, where he was head of Asia Ex-Japan Regional Research and regional strategist from 1985 to 1993.
He held the same role at Salomon Brothers in Hong Kong from 1993 to 1996 before moving to New York, where he was a partner at Omega Advisors, a global equity hedge fund.
He earned an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and is a member of the Board of Overseers.
He also received a BA in Art History and Economics from New York University and is a CFA charterholder.
