Thiagarajan Kannan is a former Chairman and Managing Director of VTM Ltd., Thiagarajar Telekom Solutions Ltd., and Chairman of Thiagarajar College of Engineering.
He was also an Independent Non-Executive Director of TVS Motor Co. Ltd. and Sundaram Brake Linings Ltd. Additionally, he served as the Chairman of the Southern Region for the Confederation of Indian Industry and as the Chairman of The Southern India Mills’ Association.
Kannan was a Director of Sundaram Textiles Ltd., SIMA Textile Processing Centre Ltd., Thiagarajar Mills Pvt Ltd., Colour Yarns Ltd., The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India, and ATC Tires Pvt Ltd. He was also a Syndicate Member of Anna University, a Member of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, a Member of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, a Member of the Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and a Member of the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission.
Kannan's education history includes an undergraduate degree from Madurai Kamaraj University.
