Prior to joining FA Technology Ventures in May 2004, Mr. Kang was a corporate finance analyst with CIBC World Markets' Technology Investment Banking Group in San Francisco, focusing on financing and strategic advisory work for middle market technology companies.
While at CIBC World Markets, Mr. Kang completed IPO, private placement, financial restructuring and M&A transactions in the communications technology and Internet infrastructure industries.
Upon completion of the analyst program, he served as a financial consultant to a leading studio animation company and helped start and teach at an English institute in South Korea.
Mr. Kang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Economics.
