Ngalaah Chuphi joined Ethos in 1999.
He has extensive experience in strategy formulation; working with management in refocusing businesses toward their competitive advantages.
He was actively involved in the refocusing of the franchising role at Pleasure Foods which led to its successful re-leveraging and ultimate realisation.
He was also responsible for the repositioning and realisation of Natstan Wire.
He has oversight on non-South African transactions due to his extensive business networks outside of South Africa and intimate working knowledge of East African commercial activities.
Ngalaah Chuphi played a pivotal role in putting together the new Ethos structure, including Ethos' BEE deal with Sphere Holdings.
He was key member of the Fund V fundraising team with a primary focus on international investors.
He currently serves on the board of Moresport.
Prior to joining Ethos, Ngalaah Chuphi spent several years in project finance with the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC and spent over five years in strategy consulting with Gemini Consulting and Deloitte in various countries.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, U.S.
