Michael D.
Means is a Director of Health First Health Plans, Inc. and President and Chief Executive Officer of Health First, Inc. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Member of the Healthcare Research & Development Institute, University of Central Florida's Health Services Administration Programs Community Board, and Brevard County Civilian Military Community Relations Council.
Mr. Means is a Member of the Board for VHA-Southeast and Health First Foundation and a Member of the Board of Overseers for the Florida Tech's School of Business.
Prior to joining Health First Health Plans, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Holmes Regional Medical Center and Palm Bay Community Hospital.
Previously, Mr Means was Chairman of the Florida Hospital Association, VHA-Southeast, and Association of Community Hospitals and Healthcare Systems.
He was appointed as Chairman of the Melbourne/Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce in 1992 and Campaign Chairman of United Way in 2001.
Mr. Means received his Bachelor's and MBA degrees from the University of Florida.
