Maurice McKenzie joined Signal Hill in August 2006 as a Vice President specializing in digital media content and distribution.
Prior to joining Signal Hill, Mr. McKenzie spent over four years at FBR & Co., most recently as a Vice President, Analyst covering publishing and Broadcasting stocks.
Prior to FBR, Mr. McKenzie spent over two years as an associate analyst with Wachovia Securities covering cable TV, outdoor, radio broadcasting and newspaper stocks.
Additionally, Mr. McKenzie has five years of accounting and financial management experience as an Assistant Controller at Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation and as an Internal Auditor at Gannett Co. Inc. While at Gannett, Mr. McKenzie performed financial and operational reviews of over 50 diversified media properties and participated in the sale of Outdoor properties and the acquisition of cable, television and newspaper properties.
Mr. McKenzie has been quoted frequently by the press in periodicals including USA Today, Business Week, Billboard, Dow Jones, CNNMoney, Advertising Age and the Washington Post.
Mr. McKenzie received his B.S.
in accounting from George Mason University and attended the University of Michigan Business School as a Consortium Fellow.
He earned his M.B.A. with High Distinction, concentrating in finance and financial statement analysis in 1999.
Mr. McKenzie is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society, the CFA Institute and is presently a Level III candidate in the CFA program.
