Dr. Blanford joined Kos in 1996 and is Senior Vice President, Drug Regulatory, Safety and Compliance.
In this capacity, Dr. Blanford oversees all regulatory, compliance and quality assurance functions for the Company.
Prior to Kos, Dr. Blanford was the Director of Clinical Research at Noven Pharmaceuticals from 1992 to 1995, and before that was Vice President of Health and Sciences Research, Inc., a company that performed clinical research for pharmaceutical firms.
Dr. Blanford also worked for Key Pharmaceuticals as a research manager from 1981 through 1984.
During Dr. Blanford's 20 year career, he has participated in the preparation and submission of many products to the FDA. This experience is complemented by significant clinical research experience.
Dr. Blanford received a B.S.
in Pharmacy and a Pharm.D., both from the University of Kentucky.
