Mr. Marcelo Castro is Partner & Senior Portfolio Manager at Pharo Management (UK) LLP.
Prior to joining Pharo Management (UK) LLP in 2005, Mr. Castro worked at BNP Paribas from 1998 to 2004 where he traded Latin American local instruments in New York and then ran the local fixed income derivatives desk in Brazil.
Prior to BNP Paribas, he worked at UBS from 1997 to 1998, at Bankers Trust from 1993 to 1997, and at Banco Icatu from 1989 to 1993 focusing on trading and risk management of Brazilian fixed income derivatives.
Mr. Castro holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and a one-year specialization course on pure mathematics from the University of São Paulo.
