Mr. Auten joined HRJ Capital in 2002 from Presidio Financial Partners, an investment banking and personal wealth management firm where he was a partner with responsibility for marketing and business development in the wealth management group.
His practice focused on providing investment strategies to high net worth individuals, institutional investors and family offices, both in the U.S.
and abroad.
He joined Presidio after serving as an Associate Director of Private Banking at the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS), where he was responsible for marketing and business development at UBS' San Francisco office.
Previously, he was a Senior Financial Analyst with Banco Santander in Madrid, Spain, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and corporate finance.
He has held positions with Price Waterhouse and the World Bank.
He received his Masters in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1994.
He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of AIMR and the San Francisco Analysts Society.
