Jose Miguel Arias LopezJose Miguel Arias Lopez was born in Tudela (Navarra) Spain.
He attended Jesuit high school there before studying in Pamplona at the School of Technical Agricultural Engineering (Escuela de Ingenieros Tecnicos Agricolas).
In the mid 60's Mr. Arias worked as an administrator for the Navarran Ministry of Agriculture before setting out on his own as an agricultural consultant in the early 70's.
During both career paths he maintained a private farm where he raised white asparagus, artichokes, pears, apples and peaches.
Since 1974 he has occupied the role of General Manager of PLANASA (Plantas de Navarra, S.A.).
Jose is married to Inez and together they have two children: son Miguel, an agronomic Engineer, and daughter Beatrice, an agricultural engineer.
Jose enjoys cycling and fishing in the summer and skiing in the winter.
