Dr. Deleage has been a Director of Plexxikon, Inc. since April 1996.
He is a Founder and Managing Director of Alta Partners, a venture capital firm investing in information technologies and life science companies.
He was Managing Partner of Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co. in 1979.
He was a member of Sofinnova's initial team, a venture capital organization in Paris, and in 1976 formed Sofinnova, Inc. He is a Director of Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Xcyte Therapies, Inc. In 1984, he was awarded the Ordre National du Merite and the Legion of Honor from the French government in 1993.
Dr. Deleage received a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Superieurie d'Electricite and a Ph.D.
in Economics from the University of Paris in Sorbonne.
