Mr. Ivane Barbakadze joined Abbey Asset Management (formerly Galt & Taggart Asset Management) as an Investment Analyst in 2007.
Prior to joining Abbey Asset Management, Mr. Barbakadze served as a Research Analyst at the Ukraine ’s leading securities brokerage firm Dragon Capital, and was responsible for equity research coverage of the mining industry in Ukraine.
Prior to joining Dragon Capital in October 2006, Mr. Barbakadze worked as an analyst at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Kiev, and the World Bank, Washington, USA (2005-2006).
Mr. Barbakadze holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from one of Ukraine’s most prestigious, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (2007), and is a graduate of Tbilisi State University with undergraduate degree in International Economic Relations (2005).
