Profil
Prior to founding Agamas in 2005, Mr. Jacobs was a Managing Member of Capital Dynamics LLC, a financial advisory and consulting firm.
From 1997 through 2002, he was a Managing Director of RBS Greenwich Capital, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In this capacity, he headed the Non-Agency and Commercial Trading desk, where managed 15 trading professionals and was responsible for new issuance, secondary trading and risk management of securities inventories that exceeded $6 billion.
Mr. Jacobs was also the Cofounder and Co-head of the Commercial Assets Group, which focused on securitizing commercial assets and grew to approximately forty people by 2001.
His responsibilities within this group included developing business strategy, transaction structuring, pricing, trading and risk management of commercial mortgage loan inventories of $2 to 3 billion.
From 1994 through 1996, he was cofounder and Principal of Financial Structuring LLC, a financial advisory and consulting firm focusing on structured finance products in the fixed income capital markets.
Formerly a Managing Director of Mortgage Trading at Daiwa Securities America Inc. from 1991 through 1994, where he was instrumental in building a business which purchased commercial mortgages and related assets from the Resolution Trust Corporation.
From 1983 until 1991, he was Vice President on the Mortgage Trading desk at Salomon Brothers, responsible for trading both commercial and residential mortgage securities and whole loans.
Mr. Jacobs received a MS in Business Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT; Sc.B in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University.
