George A. Vandeman is chairman of the Global Growth board.
He is the principal of Vandeman & Co., a private investment firm, since retiring as senior vice president and general counsel of Amgen, the world’s largest biotechnology company.
Before joining Global Growth, Mr. Vandeman served as Chairman of the Board and a Director of MPG Office Trust, a NYSE listed multi-billion dollar real estate investment trust; a Director of NASDQ listed ValueVision Media, operator of the cable shopping channel ShopNBC; and Symbio Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded Tokyo based biotech company, among others.
Earlier in his career, George was a senior partner and head of the mergers and acquisitions practice at Latham & Watkins, what is now one of the largest law firms in the world.
He represented bidders, targets and financial advisors in M&A and other corporate control transactions, and he advised numerous boards of directors on corporate governance matters.
