Fred Brown leads Baleon Capital’s Healthcare Optimization Team which assists with pipeline opportunity review, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives for Baleon’s portfolio companies.
Fred served as one of the principal architects and founding President and Chief Executive Officer of BJC HealthCare.
Under Fred’s leadership, BJC developed a comprehensive healthcare network featuring 14 acute care hospitals, 7 long-term care facilities, 200 care sites, 30,000 caregivers and physicians, and health plans covering more than 200,000.
Fred’s healthcare career spans 50 years and he has become a noted advocate for America’s hospitals and healthcare organizations as Fred continues to provide strategic counsel to several prominent organizations.
Fred served as the past Chairman of the American Hospital Association as well as the Joint Commission, and most recently as Chairman of Fred L.
Brown & Associates LLC, an international healthcare consulting company.
Fred received his Bachelor’s from Northwestern University, his MBA from The George Washington University, and his honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, 1995.
