Prior to rejoining the firm, Mr. Konopko was the founder and a Managing Member of Taliesin Capital Management LLC, an investment firm focused on special situations investments in North America and Europe.
Before founding Taliesin in 2004, he was at Halcyon from 1997 to 2003, serving in various roles including Principal.
He was also an attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP from 1983 to 1989 and the Vice President and General Counsel of Axsys Technologies from 1990 to 1996.
Mr. Konopko graduated from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 1976 with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics and International Affairs and earned a J.D.
from Columbia Law School in 1982.
